After a full year of treatment at the Hamlin Addis Ababa Hospital, Abebech is finally cured.

With no access to maternal healthcare, Abebech endured eleven days of excruciating labor before delivering a stillborn baby. She sustained a double fistula, leaving her incontinent of urine and feces.
Abebech spent 15 years hiding in shame and isolation. She recalls: “The shame was overwhelming. I asked my family to let me die rather than endure such a harsh existence. I spent years suffering in silence.”
After a full year of treatment and rehabilitation at Hamlin’s Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital, Abebech was finally healed and is so grateful to kind supporters like you.
Abebech says: "I am a new person. Please continue helping women like me. Your kindness truly saves lives."
Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia provides world-class obstetric fistula treatment to restore the health and dignity of women who have survived this horrendous, preventable childbirth injury.
Join us in giving women like Abebech hope for the future.
